About The Archive

The majority of the images here were scanned from my personal library of Boris and Julie’s publications. Other hard to find items have been sourced elsewhere and using a variety of techniques made to closely match the originals, these are marked with an {R} symbol. Occasionally, some AI has been employed to rescale small images and assist in the restoration process.

The beginning of VallejoBellArchives

I was a constant visitor to Hercules Gunter’s original Borisigraphy website, where I was introduced to the works of Boris Vallejo and Julie Bell. This early exposure sparked my fascination with their art and led me to start my own collection of their works.
Noticing that Hercules' site had been dormant since September 2000, I felt compelled to continue documenting and sharing the artists' works for the benefit of fellow fans and collectors.

The Boriography revival

I am happy to say that since these times the Borisigraphy, has been revived, capably managed by Bernard Rogers, and continues to be the valuable resource it always was. I urge all fans to visit his site.
